Casie and I go a loooong way back. Friends from my college days at Penn State. She and I are birds of a feather. Life connected us in a way that time and distance could not ever break. She's my homegirl and I love her more than I can say.
She is absolutely gorgeous. Let's just get that out of the way to start off. But she's also extremely kind, loyal, giving and pure of heart. Her family means everything to her - and she's enormously creative. When we get together - we effortlessly pick up wherever we left off last. Even if "last" is measured in years, not days or months.
Last year she had her first little baby boy and I decided it was high time for me to come for an official visit. So my littlest Bean and I packed up and made a 10 hour trek to the midwest and hung out for a few days.
This year, Casie decided to return the favor. So she and her little man got in the car and made a two day (muuuuch smarter) drive to our house just two weeks ago. We had such an awesome time together. We exercised (I took her to Zumba at the Y, and we went running at dusk a couple times) - took the kids to the strawberry farm on a day when it was deathly hot, we did crafty projects like sewing baby blankets and hats (Casie can stitch up ANYTHING! - I can barely put a button back on a pair of pants. Sewing - not my gift.) did some shopping at our local outlet mall, and generally had lots of girl chat and catching up.
As she pulled out of the driveway, I missed her and her boo even before they reached the mailbox. Man I wish we lived closer. Huge wish.
Anyway - we also managed to squeeze in some time for photos when my two were off at school one afternoon. Here are a few of my favorites. Enjoy!
Love you Case~!
