The Biz

  • To my little corner of the internet. I'm a lifestyle photographer and I call Maryland's Eastern Shore my home. It's Chesapeake Bay country out here and it's just lovely. Full of inspiration. I have a husband I call "Clark Kent" because he's my own personal superhero. And... he looks awesome in plaid flannel. Hot dang. I have two little boogers who keep me on my toes and a yellow four legged child that always keeps me company. I love scrapbooking, curling up to a good movie, and dark chocolate M&M's. Thanks for stopping by... I "heart" your comments.

Cinnamon cheerios, regular with a little spice & yummy!!

So, I am not faithful to any one type of cereal. My 2 year old daughter however, would probably not eat breakfast if it were not for Cinnamon Toast Crunch. As soon as her feet hit the floor in the morning she says "Crunch....a a bowl". Of course all the Mommy alarms go off about the sugar in that stuff, but it surprisingly has 2 grams less than the Smart Start I was eating a few weeks ago!

Fiber One or Uncle Sam's........I'm going to be 62, what can I say ;)

So since I have to be in a wedding dress in a little over a month (YIKES!) I am on calorie watch! Found this cereal from Arrowhead Mills-Organic Puffed Kamut (only 50 calories a cup with no suger and 3 grams of protein!)...tastes exactly like NOTHING! lol On any normal day I love love love Frosted Mini Wheats!

Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds...what started as a pregnancy craving almost 5 years ago has become a morning staple ever since then....glad the entire jar of pickles in one sitting craving fell by the wayside after the first pregnancy!

Cap'n Crunch! Loved it since I was a kid :)

I'm not sure if I have a favorite cereal, but I have a favorite cereal at my grandparent's house.

I think it's nostalgia... a cereal they always had, and they gave to me as a child. It's boring. It's scratchy. It's old people cereal... well considering I ate it most between ages of 10 and 18.

    Shredded Wheat.

I don't know what it is about the plain ol' stuff. Break it up in some milk, add some sugar, maybe fresh raspberries from the garden, and let it get soggy!

Mmmmm... now I'm hungry. But you know, I've never bought Shredded Wheat!

    THATs a SCRAPworthy story Jaime!!

My favorite cereal is Honey Nut Cheerios but since I am now gluten-free I never get to have them but man are they good.

there is something about eating sounds so unappetizing, like wall paper paste with a spoon. but they scream about how darn healthy it is, and how it makes you feel full longer and all that stuff.

i've started making this stuff i found at wegmans...sunrise blend. The oatmeal-muesli alternative is a blend of wheat bulgur, buckwheat groats, colusari heirloom red rice, whole grain quinoa flakes and brown flax seed. (got that right from the box lol) you boil 2 cups of water, mix in the box, remove from heat, cover with a lid and in 25 minutes you have enough for all week. its a bit bizarre but not boring like pasty oatmeal...chewy and interesting.

i put a ton of fresh strawberries on it and a splash of bolthouse vanilla chai soy milk and ground flax seed. YUMMY.

dude... my stomach is growling just reading this... you must send me a box! we have no weggies!!! :)

Norma - I ate a TON of these growing up!!!

A Whole Wheat Eggo waffle with peanut butter on top! Quick, delicious, and keeps me full :)

    Shannon dePrado

Grape Nuts.... they do not get soggy when i am interrupted 5 zillion times during breakfast! :-)

I only wish I allowed myself time in the morning to eat a bowl of cereal. 5:30am is pushing the limits for me to leave by 7. Does it count that sometimes if I get the urge I'll have a Blueberry pop tart! Hmmmmm pop tartttttttt.. :)

Whenever I decide to treat the house with something besides the normal Kix, Cheerios, Life or that good ol' Special K, I go for Frosted Flakes or Pops!!! Bringin' it back to my kiddie days ~ not to mention, hubby appreciates me not putting him in the 4 yr old reduced sugar and 1200 calorie diet Mom box :-D
