As many of you already know. I'm in LOVE with my Vitamix machine. I'm utterly endebted to my brother and sister-in-law for turning me on to it.
After many requests - I decided to just shoot a very quick iPhone video of myself making my daily greenie. At first - there weren't this many ingredients. Only about 3 really. But as my palette has adjusted to the taste I've slowly been adding things that I felt would be great in rounding out the smoothie as an all-in-one-cup meal. I'm talking about extra greens in powder form, coconut water for extra antioxidants, flax oil for omega 3's, and whey protein - in addition to the fresh fruits and veggies that account for the bulk of it.
Lately Clark and I have upped our game a bit and have been drinking one of these as a meal replacement DAILY (v. weekly)... and the benefits are just huge. I feel like my body is just "cleaner." Like my blood is clean or something. I know that makes no sense at all. Sounds freaky, really. But I mean it.
Seriously - my skin looks healthier - my digestive system is operating with good "turnover" and I have the peace of mind knowing that I've had loads of veggies each week - and loads more over the course of a month.
So - here goes... my favorite green smoothie.
Filmed, in the middle of REAL LIFE... My apologies.
Enjoy! :)
And - because I forgot the BEST PART of the Vitamix... here's a very brief P.S. on that...
And because I love y'all so so much. And I think that everyone should own one of these. It's an investment - but one that is utterly worthwhile....

Do you drink one / day? and did you get most of the powders, etc at railway mkt? Love your blogs (and I was a little distracted in the clean up video by those beautiful babies in the back haha!! ) I have been considering purchasing one. I make smoothies for my kids and often add whey protein, almond milk or soy milk. But looking for more healthy options

Hey Jacalyn! I cant recommend the Vitamix enough to people. Especially ones with kids. My Macho wont even TOUCH a vegetable - but hell drink smoothies with carrots and other things I sneak in there till the cows come home! Its a saving grace for so many reasons!
I purchased the Spirulina Algae Powder at Whole Foods, but most of the other items Ive purchased locally. The Whey Protein, Crystallized Ginger, Flax Oil and Wheat Grass I get from the lady inside the Amish Market... though Im sure you could find things at Railway too. The coconut water I order online through Amazon and get it auto-shipped so I save like 15% through their subscription program!
If you decide to take the plunge - use the offer code - it will pay your shipping. And you can get a refurbished model (thats what I have) - they were just used in product demos or returned before the 30 day money back guarantee. You will get a NEW canister, tamper, lid and blade if you order a refurbished one.
:)
