Random Self Portrait

On Monday I had a few moments to myself. Little girl was napping. Macho was off playing with his cousin. Dishes were put away... Roxy was snoozing on her bed.

Making sure I do a self portrait every now and again - is sort of a silent goal I have. After all - I'm always behind the camera... A little evidence of my existence is always a good thing now and again.

Plus - it's a good challenge. With my tripod set up and remote control in hand - I have to dial in my settings - consider the light - and then go. Adjust. Go again. Adjust again. Go again. Yet remain authentically in the moment.

This time - my iPod helped to keep me ithere. I'm not even bothered that you can see the earbuds in the shot. Music is such a part of life. A big part of mine. So it seems a very genuine prop here.

And again - staying in the "mood" can be rough...

This practice can seem quite silly. Taking a photograph all alone.... What a wierdo!

I was listening to Adele, "Someone Like You" when this frame was taken, I believe.

The mood of the song is there.

Anyway - I hope to do this periodically... its a fun little exercise.

And while we begin to think on the things we are thankful for... I'd like to thow out there that I'm immensely thankful for the el-cheapo Keratin Treatment from Target that I experimented with Monday night... It's taming my helmet as evidenced above.

@Kristen - yep - I used the Organix brand Moroccan Keratin treatment from Target!
Its definitely softened up my mop a bit this week!
