I love these prompts from Elise's blog... so I thought I'd give it a whirl.
This week is just so dang nuts I'm having a hard time fitting blogging into the mix. Been working like a mad dog so that I can take Thursday night and go to the midnight premiere of Breaking Dawn : Part One with a girlfriend. It's a tradition, I simply, cannot break.
The little lady turns ONE (so hard to believe!) on Friday so I basically need to have all my crap sorted out by... well today reallly. Ugh!
So here goes.
Currently...
developing - a business strategy for 2012 for my photography... considering a lot of things that worked this year - and some that didn't and getting a game plan together that I plan to hash out over the next two and a half months, some cool new changes are coming which is exciting!
accepting - working less. i'm structuring a yearly hiatus/holiday away from photo shoots into my business model. like a teacher takes time during the summer - i'm taking mine in the winter. i want to spend the holidays with the kids not locked up editing day and night - and I also need some time to think and plan and do many of the administrative things I never get time to do during the high season. Even though I'm excited with anticipation for this break - it has been mighty hard to turn jobs down over the past month and a half. Purposely halting the momentum I've worked all year for, not to mention the extra income that would be oh so nice for Christmas.
sending - prints to a client who lives in the United Kingdom! So fun!
writing - Baby girl's 11 month update. The girl keeps me on my toes.
wearing - a Moosejaw swetshirt, chocolate JCrew cords, and my leopard print horsehair Sanita clogs :)
lamenting - why on earth my face is breaking out. I just dropped my last feeding with the baby - and am now totally done with nursing... I suspect my hormones are rearing their ugly heads.
enjoying - cooking winter-ish meals right now... bolognese sauce, pot roast, meatloaf and smashed redskins, butternut squash soup in my Vitamix :)
dreaming - of sitting down and doing some serious scrapbooking during my "winter break" - it's my happy place
returning - library books is a new weekly "to do"
celebrating - the little missus' ONE year birthday this weekend!!
planning - a little list of things I wanna do on my "winter break' - scrapbook, paint the living room, visit my brother and sister in law, Christmas shopping, baking, etc. etc.
embracing - cooler weather (no more skeeters!) which means keeping warm in my bathrobe most days (sorry Mr. UPS man)
loving - re-entering Twi-dom. In anticipation of the upcoming Breaking Dawn premiere, I've been editing to the Breakind Dawn audiobook on iTunes. I love getting lost in the novels.
loathing - my Darth Vader-esque helmet hair at the moment. Grow outs are such a bitch.
reading - a book called Mammarazzi... How to get great shots of your kids. Just finished Pioneer Woman's Black Heels to Tractor Wheels - highly recommend. Can't wait for that movie to come out.
considering - run/walking a 5K for Hospice here the morning after Thanksgiving. For the cause, for my derrier, for my 33@33 list!
striving - to get my tushka back to the YMCA at LEAST once a week, if not more. Been getting back into a Zumba groove again. It's just so dang fun. If only the room weren't so crowded. Just goes to show a lot of people love it. Mom... I know you're reading... Susie and I have decided we are taking you to a class while you are here visiting next week. Pack your athletic shoes. It's gonna be fun. ;)

I think I will observe from the back row....I need to observe before I try!!

i loved reading your currentlyssssss! i think it's always so motivating to know what others are doing that inspires them and makes them tick. i seem to get into some sort of slump once the kids get their school groove on...so reading what you're doing makes my ears perk up. i need a serious hobby other than just being a mom.....

seriously - its so fun youll wanna jump right in!
and its actually better for you to stand near the front so you can see the instructor your first time. its so packed you would never see the steps in the back. i know you can do it!!!

and girl... i envy the relative simplicity - a word I choose carefully - of your days - caring for a house and 5 kids is hardly simple - i think I just need one LESS hobby.
:)

Oh thats great to hear. My poor blog has been suffering lately - I know... Need more hours in the day! After a long day of juggling mommying and business - the blog has become a sad afterthought. Sad. I plan on doing some more personal posts like I used to here during my break!!! Fear not.
P.S. I KNOW you would totally SMOKE me with the running!!! Once upon a time, I was in the kind of shape where I could run a half marathon on a whim - in fact I ran the Miami half a day after hearing it was going on - on my plane ride down there for a weekend getaway... Talk about spontaneous. But - ever since having kids.... My body is a total mess! What a blob Ive become.
I need a swift kick in the pants!

You are awesome---I've thought about training for half marathon.....I psych myself out though when I think about how far it is though....and I doubt that your body is a mess and you would never be a blob......chasin' too little ones around-no way, sister!! :)
