Back in the saddle.

First frame off the camera...

 

What a week.

Earthquake.

Evacuation half way through vacation.

Hurricane.

Amazing maternity session.

It was wild.

And now... it's time to let the dust settle and get back into a rhythm of life. Whatever THAT looks like. My 3-day a week sitter has returned to college and I have someone new coming today to care for the youngins and let me roll up my sleeves and get back to work.

I feel like I need a very big shovel in that department. Lists... lots of lists are in my future.

 

I did some thinking about this space here... ye olde blog... while I was gone. And what my intentions are for it. Of late - it's been a bit of a struggle for me. My "perspective" on it has shifted from a place of sharing fun things - to more of a daily assignment. A task I've been procrastinating till the end of the day... then end up slapping together while laying in my bed at 11 or 12.

The content has suffered... and my "outlet" has become a chore. That irks me. Irks me BIG. I gotta regain control of that attitude and I gotta start pronto.

I just need to get back to square one I think. Naturally there will be some ebb and flow with the creativity here... I get that. But, it's not for a lack of ideas of things to share. In fact, I got a whole list of things I wanna talk about. Just carving out time each day to sit and process photos (many of which don't pertain to home life or work life) and empty my racing mind to write and think clearly has been the tough part.

One thing I have been thinking about is the "conversation" aspect of this. I want to rant. I want to muse. I wanna talk about things that weigh heavy on my mind - and I wanna talk about all the frivolous stuff too.

So I'm gonna make it a goal to just sit down and write about whatever.

I love reading Miz Booshay's blog for this very reason.

Each day it's like I just get to sit with her and have a cup of coffee... or tea... or vodka... or whatever blows your skirt up.
